1998-2001
Four remote camcorder systems, a remote studio and
a computer-based editing system are acquired; ongoing video
production workshops are offered every two months; outreach
is
conducted on a regular basis.
1999-2001 First annual "Live TV Auction" is held on Saturday,
Oct. 23, 1999. Proceeds are used to purchase multi-camera
remote studio system. Subsequent auctions in 2000 and 2001
successfully raise funds for purchase of DPS velocity non-linear
editing system and digital playback equipment, respectively.
2000-2001
WACMC coordinates Wisconsin Association of Public,
Educational and Government (PEG) Access Channels Video
Festival. In 2001, WACMC producers and staff earn 8 out of
16
Excellence Awards in statewide competition.
2000
The first annual Summer Youth Video Camp is offered.
Youngsters aged 13-17 produce award-winning anti-smoking public
service announcements.
2001
WACMC supports expansion of programming on school
district Channel 13 by providing programs facilitated by WACMC
staff and produced with WACMC equipment.
2001
WACMC ends year with 13 regular series in production.
2002
WACMC celebrates 20th anniversary with dinner/recognition
ceremony at Franklin Field House. Event attracts multitude
of
elected officials and community leaders, public access
programmers and past and present board members.
2002
WACMC staff and volunteers honored as National Hometown
Video Festival winners by Alliance for Community Media for
third
annual "Live TV Auction."
2002
Website is launched at www.wacmc.org, featuring
membership information, newsletter, producer profiles, channel
program and training schedules and more; fourth annual "Live
TV
Auction" boasts an increase in donations and volunteers.
